Frieze New York - Day Two

Failed to get to the Guggenheim for an early private view this morning - blame the gin based cocktails at Employees Only, a cocktail bar originally for cocktail waiters for when they finished work.

This was followed by more cocktails at the Red Rooster restaurant in Haarlam - an interesting mix of old Haarlem menus with a modern Swedish twist !

I was particularly taken with the Gin and Juice cocktail - Hendricks gin, citrus juice, citrus bitters, marmalade.

Started with a coffee at the pannini shop next to the hotel and admired the two Berkel ham slicers.

Got the water taxi to the fair

 The tent

Interesting use of New York State road sign materials by a french artist - they change colour and depth depending on your angle of view

Good comparison with another photo I took on the street of New York - art imitating real life

Initially, I thought this New York pedestrian management official was upset about an accident or something - turns out he was on the phone.
