A Room for London - Fiona Banner and me

Safely ensconced in the Roi des Belges on top of the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
First attempts at writing Haiku.
Room for London, by Fiona Banner and David Kohn Architects, is part modelled on the boat from Heart of Darkness, a novel by Joseph Conrad, and on a Japanese tea hut - a Chashitsu- which have names in Japan such as Doubting Hut, Introvert Hut, Silent Thunder Hut - what to call ours ?- perhaps a Dislocation Hut or Floating Air Hut .

Post Office Tower
The river runs through it and
Joseph Conrad lives.

Trudging home from work
Views of the Congo River
from a sky high boat.

Roi des Belges floating
Japanese tea hut refuge
Above London's noise .

Amanda Anchor
and Roger the cabin boy.
Boat is on the roof.
