Walking the Guidecca

In homage to Ralph Rumney and his psychogeographical publication, the Leaning Tower of Venice, I walked the length of the Guidecca yesterday, the strip of land that used to be known as the Spinalunga - Long Thorn-  and was where Michaelangelo exiled himself in 1529 when he fell out of favour with the Medicis.
Ralph Rumney was in search of the Venetians at play and tried to join in where he could.
From my walk, the key themes of play seem to be modelling priests, fishing, hanging around with your dog in bars and wearing old Genesis t-shirts.
