Take me to the bridge part 1

London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham are replacing old steel road panels on Hammersmith Bridge and I managed last week to reach agreement with them on taking four of them off of their hands.
The panels probably date back to before the Real IRA bomb damaged the bridge in the year 2000 and are around 20 years old.
Doesn't take much these days to prompt me to hire a transit van ...

Very excited to find the panels are stored underneath the north side of the bridge ...

We helped document where the bolt holes are on each of the four panels ...

And nosed around the multitude of old signs stored there

This one dates back to the previous bomb attack on the bridge by the Provisional IRA in 1996

The detailed drawings we helped make ...

My son Will working hard ...

The second panel makes its way to the van
