Weekend wanderings

Went for a walk along the Thames on Saturday to visit a collective art studio as part of the Open House programme.

The Thames was full of boats - London's equivalent of the more glamorous Venetian Vongalonga

The courtyard at the studios had a brilliant view onto the river but, as ever, my eye was taken by distressed doors, dying plants and old warning signs.

Inside the wharf, there is studio space for circa 45 artists - I quite liked the arrangements of brushes and artists materials.

The sun came out on the walk back.

On Sunday, Mark and I ran around Scadbury nature reserve.

And came across the remains of Scadbury Manor House which dates back to 1424

Stairway to heaven ....
