For the last eight years, Mark and I have run a boys shopping trip on the Sunday before Christmas - initially it was just us, brothers and sons but it has grown to involve wives, daughters and nieces.
No shopping is allowed.
We started at the Dog and Duck pub in Soho - Mark is the only one doing the Band on the Run album cover ...
We then make our way through Soho to the Chinese restaurant the Joy King Lau,passing Chinese carol singers on the way.
My youngest son, Jack does an excellent job ordering an extensive menu for 17 people, while Will takes yet another photo of a beer bottle.

Back though Soho for a coffee at Bar Italia - bump into Rosie, a fellow art student from college and don't have the nerve to say hello to Ash, the guy that just won Professional Masterchef on TV, who was in ordering a takeaway cappucino.
