Between London and Tower bridge is where the Avenue of Sail starts - comprised of all the tall ships that couldn't join the pageant beyond London Bridge - I loved the contrast between the old ships and the modernity of the office landscape.
In the evening, we took our bikes on a ride from Hammersmith Bridge to Albert Bridge and back - this is where the pleasure boats, barges and sundry small boats were mustering and mooring for the night.
One crew was in for an uncomfortable night ahead ...
