There’s no such thing as a goodbye in Elsewhere land. This afternoon (after a month of vinyl listening sessions, porch parties, conversations on clothes, and a First Friday group opening) we say, “See you later” to our 5 August artists in-residence.
See their projects below and drop by the museum Wednesday-Saturday, 1-10pm to explore the work they created.

Janelle Beasley, Velvet Retreat, bathroom installation. Beasley responds to NC's House Bill 2 by creating a comfortable, inviting environment for individual private use.
Megan Blythe Stewart, Elsewear, wardrobe installation and performance. Stewart wore collection wardrobe since her first day at Elsewhere and created an installation based on people’s memories about clothing.
Alex Meiser, Nothing Can Be Something, fabric installation. Meiser reconstructs Elsewhere’s Fabric Fortress into two compelling, rolled fabric pyramids.
Roger Miles, Resonate/Generate, curated vinyl records, installation, and cyanotype prints. Miles continues his vinyl record project at Elsewhere; he created a listening station and curated the collection with London style.
