I started my 4 week residency at proportion>london's mannequin factory in Walthamstow - over the next 2 months the company will move out of the factory to new premises nearby. My residency will, in part, document the clearing of the factory and I will also make work with some of the items being disposed of.
Mannequins and forms are hand made using either fibreglass or papier-mâché. More details on production techniques to follow.
